The Universal Design and Higher Education in Transformation Congress (UDHEIT2018) will be held at Dublin Castle, Ireland from October 30 to November 2, 2018. This exciting four-day event will bring together key experts from industry, education, government and non-government organisation sectors to share experiences and knowledge with all participants. This congress aims to transform our world through celebrating and integrating all that is good in design, diversity and education.
The Centre for Higher Education Research, Policy and Practice (CHERPP) invites you to a workshop on exemplary teaching and learning with Dr. Thomas Carey, Executive-in-Residence for Teaching & Learning Innovation at the BC Association of Institutes and Universities. The focus of the workshop will be distinctive excellence for our students as a primary driver of teaching and learning. This workshop is being tailored for staff working at institutes within the Technological University for Dublin Alliance. How we teach is a key part of what we teach... and may have a more lasting impact on our students in the future than the specific subject matter content of our classes!
The Centre for Higher Education Research, Policy and Practice (CHERPP) will hold a briefing for DIT staff that are interested in pairing up with a Canadian peer to carry out research and projects related to Higher Education.
Higher education institutions and systems worldwide are in a period of extraordinary challenge and change. The drive to increase participation in higher education is often at odds with the need to encourage and develop all students to be technically proficient and yet creative, independent and socially aware thinkers that are engaged with the world outside of the campus walls. The Centre for Excellence in Universal Design, with the support of the Technological University for Dublin (TU4D) initiative will host a two day conference consisting of a series of workshops, keynote speakers, exhibitions and a 24 Hour Universal Design Hackathon.
