Dr. Aiden Carthy has over fifteen years’ lecturing experience and recently founded and directs The National Research Centre for Psychology, Education and Emotional Intelligence (PEEI). His primary areas of research interest are emotional intelligence, applied education, and mental health.
Dr. Carthy has an extensive publication list, considerable experience with respect to research and postgraduate supervision, and has been involved in a number of large-scale, collaborative research projects, and secured research funding in excess of €300k.
As PEEI was founded just two years ago, the focus thus far has been on establishing its presence within the Irish educational sector. However, PEEI is now ready to expand their reach, actively seeking international collaborative partners, and interested in exploring opportunities for collective funding applications. Details of current projects and research experience are available at the PEEI website (www.peei.ie).
